§ Mr. AmeryThe term "slum" is variously applied to houses unfit for human habitation, unfit houses beyond repair at reasonable cost, and houses in clearance areas. The criteria determining such houses are set out in the Housing Act, 1957, and more particularly in Section 4 as amended by Section 71 of the Housing Act, 1969.
