Mr. Anthony BoyleThere are currently 324 British officials employed in our Embassy in Washington. Of these, 39 are members of the Diplomatic Service engaged in political, commercial, consular and information duties; 39 are specialist attachés or representatives of other United Kingdom Departments; 111 are engaged 33W in defence liaison on behalf of the minister of Defence. The remaining 135 provide communication, administration and secretarial services. The Mission is assisted by 320 locally-engaged staff.
