HC Deb 08 February 1971 vol 811 c65W
Mr. Skinner

asked the Lord President of the Council what arrangements he has made regarding the servicing of internal mail in the House of Commons.

Mr. Whitelaw

The following arrangements have been made as a result of the strike of Post Office staff in the House:—

  1. 1. The Letter Board in the Members' Lobby is now manned from 9.30 a.m. instead of 10.0 a.m. Letters not collected from the Letter Board may be collected from the Members' Post Office counter the following day by Members or their secretaries.
  2. 2. The Government Internal Delivery Service will call at the House of Commons to collect letters for delivery to Ministers and Government Departments.
