HC Deb 08 February 1971 vol 811 c18W
100. Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, in his considerations leading to his permitting British European Airways Air Tours to buy second-hand American aeroplanes rather than British ones, he came to the conclusion that British European Airways Air Tours was a suitable operation for a public corporation to undertake; and if he will now consider its disposal along with that of Thomas Cook and Son.

Mr. Noble

I took these matters into account in approving B.E.A. Airtours' purchase of aircraft. I have no plans for the disposal of the company.
