HC Deb 04 February 1971 vol 810 c422W
61. Mr. Brocklebank-Fowler

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps she proposes to accelerate the provision of more adequate standards of sanitation in rural schools.

Mr. van Straubenzee

Progress is made each year through the minor works allocation. In 1972–73 the £38.5 million for primary school improvements in the major programme will result in the replacement of many schools with unsatisfactory facilities.
