Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he proposes to bring into operation Sections 1 to 6 of the Conveyancing and Feudal Reform (Scotland) Act, 1970, and to set up the Lands Tribunal for Scotland.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

I propose to bring these Sections of the Act, dealing with the allocation of feuduties and the variation and discharge of land conditions, into force on 1st March, 1971, and arrangements are in hand to set up the Lands Tribunal for Scotland on that date.
