Mr. Dykesasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what sum of money was granted from central Government or other official or semiofficial funds in the year 1970 to the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Bedford, for research purposes; and what amounts will be similarly granted in the estimate for 1971.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeIn the financial year 1969–70 Cranfield received £145,000 from research grants and contracts from Government Departments and other official bodies. It expects to receive about £210,000 in 1970–71 and does not foresee any significant change in 1971–72.
