§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what he estimates to be the total number of households at the present time dependent on a man or woman in full-time work earning less than the family's supplementary benefit entitlement; how this total number of households is divided between married couples and single-parent families; and how many children belong to households in both these categories.
§ Mr. DeanNo current estimates are available but I hope that the work on Family Expenditure Survey data which I mentioned in a reply to the hon. Member on 23rd November, 1970, will when completed provide estimates of the position at 31st December, 1969.—[Vol. 807, c73.]
