§ Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps she is taking to provide for increased research into the possible prevention and cure of multiple sclerosis.
§ Mrs. ThatcherThe programme of the Medical Research Council's Demyelinating Diseases Unit is centred on this disease and other work supported by the Council is directly or indirectly relevant to it. I am assured that the Council will consider any promising new proposals for research in this field and I do not contemplate any other action.
