asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what regulations are at present in force in the European Common Market with respect to the weight and length of lorries.

There are as yet no Community rules in force on this matter.

There have been dispensations to allow new bus grant on 362 non-standard vehicles. The total grant paid in respect of these vehicles is not readily available. The variations are mostly related to vehicle size because of operational difficulties. I have no present proposals for additional further standard specifications.
