Mr. John Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of the current urban aid programme for the London Borough of Lambeth, identifying the projects upon which expenditure is made.

Mr. Sharples

In addition to the projects approved up to May last year the London Borough Council of Lambeth has recently received approvals, carrying 75 per cent. Exchequer grant, for the following:

CAPITAL PROJECTS

(Grant will also be paid on the running costs of these projects for five years)

NON-CAPITAL PROJECTS

Annually until 1974–75:
Grant to Family Planning Association 2,400 a year
Additional grant to Tulse Hill Community Centre 500 a year
Boys' hostel, 15 Trinity Rise 3,200 a year
Housing advisory service 5,000 a year
Registration of houses in multi-occupation 2,000 a year
Total 13,100 a year

Grant to National Association of Voluntary Hostels for placement service 350
Grant to playgroups at homeless families units 920
