HC Deb 02 February 1971 vol 810 c304W
51. Mr. Wilkinson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what measures he proposes to stimulate the recruitment and training of junior hospital staff, particularly in casualty departments, to meet deficiencies in the Bradford and Halifax areas evidenced in the recent report of the Leeds Regional Hospital Board.

Sir K. Joseph

I understand from the Leeds Regional Hospital Board that at Halifax recruitment has considerably improved as a result of linking casualty posts on a rotational basis with posts in associated specialties and that the Board are seeking to improve the position at Bradford by this and other methods.
