Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement on his plans for the extension of community development projects in liaison with local authorities in England and Wales; and what discussions he has had with the Portsmouth City Council about the possibility of such projects being organised in the City of Portsmouth.
§ Mr. SharplesMy right hon. Friend will soon announce extension of the project to some more areas. The intention is to follow this up by bringing in more areas still, and Portsmouth will be among those considered. Meanwhile there have not yet been any discussions with the city council.
