and what proportion of these has been recruited from outside the Cardiff and district area.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasRecruitment of nurses for this hospital is a matter for 345W the University Hospital of Wales (Cardiff) H.M.C. I understand there has been a build-up of nursing staff at the Cardiff Royal Infirmary in anticipation of the opening of the University Hospital but it is not possible to indicate at this stage the number to be specifically assigned to the new hospital. Of the respondents to a special recruitment drive started last year 129, mainly students and pupils, have been selected and have already started at Cardiff Royal Infirmary or are awaiting a place there or at the new hospital when it opens. About five-sixths come from outside the Cardiff area.
