§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Attorney-General whether, in the recent case where members of the legal profession were tried for forgeries of conveyancing documents, the costs or any other amounts were allowed to be retained by the accused, and what were the amounts, in the light of details supplied to him by Mr. F. McAllan in his letter of 28th November.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI have received six letters all dated 28th November from Mr. McAllen. In one of these, he said that there had been a recent case in 371W which members of the legal profession had been tried for forgery of conveyancing documents. He did not, however, state the name of the defendants. If the hon. Member will identify the case, I will endeavour to provide the information for which he asks.
