HC Deb 21 December 1971 vol 828 cc317-8W
Dame Joan Vickers

asked the Minister of State for Defence what agreement has been reached in regard to the increased bonus money due to 10,500 workers in Devonport Dockyard, and whether all payments will have been made before Christmas, 1971.

Mr. Kirk

The level of take home pay in Devonport Dockyard was increased under an agreement signed last February which set bonus money at a level of 3.80 per week. This agreement provides for regular reviews but on the evidence so far available no further increase can be justified.

Dame Joan Vickers

asked the Minister of State for Defence what estimate he has made of forthcoming redundancies of men and women in Devonport Dock yard in 1972, and into which categories they will fall.

Mr. Kirk

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave the hon. Member for Portsmouth, West (Mr. Judd) yesterday.—[Vol. 828, c.258.]
