HC Deb 21 December 1971 vol 828 cc310-1W
Mr. Michael Cocks

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how he assured himself that there is no reason to suppose that insurance of British passport holders against unforeseen medical expenses incurred abroad is not adequately covered by private companies; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kershaw

My Department maintains close contact with organisations which handle questions of insurance for travellers overseas. Where insurance cover is offered locally by private firms abroad, our consuls keep us informed.
