§ Mr. Scott-Hopkins
asked the Minister of State for Defence how the United Kingdom share of the cost of the A.N.Z.U.K. Force is being met.

§ Lord Balniel
The Australian Government has set up a Trust Fund to which the Governments of Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom will make contributions to cover their part of the shared cost of the Force. Pending the presentation of a Supplementary Estimate to cover the United Kingdom share of expenditure up to 31st March, 1972, an advance will be made from the Contingencies Fund to provide for our contribution for the period up to 31st December, 1971.
