§ Q18. Mr. Deakinsasked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the co-ordination between the Home Department and the Foreign Office with regard to the definition of the term British national for the purposes of implementing the Treaty of Rome.
§ The Prime MinisterYes. This definition does not conflict with the other definitions in the various statutes on nationality. Nor does it affect a person's status as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies in our law in any way.
