§ The Prime MinisterMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment is responsible for policy towards both industrial and urban dereliction. He keeps in close touch with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and other Ministers concerned. Local authorities in the North West are taking increasing advantage of the high rates of grant which are available for the clearance of derelict land and derelict buildings.
