§ Mr. van StraubenzeeMy right hon. Friend has asked local education authorities to let her know by the end of January whether they intend to bring forward to 1972–73 up to half of their minor works allocation for 1973–74. The number of extra jobs created will depend on the value and nature of projects brought forward, which is within the discretion of local authorities.
