§ 57. Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress he is making to ensure that local authorities release more land they at present own, where it is suitable for development, in order to ease the pressure of rising land prices due to its scarcity.
§ Mr. Graham PageI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave 101W him on 8th December.—[Vol. 827, c. 1287.]
§ 65. Mr. Gurdenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to obtain a schedule of redundant, unused, or surplus land from planning authorities, including that in the possession of nationalised and other public bodies.
§ Mr. Graham PageA decision to do this would involve a substantial change in the relationship of central to local government but I am in frequent consultation with local auhorities concerning the availability of land for development.
