§ Mr. Dudley SmithThere is no accepted way of defining or measuring the number of unemployed persons who are not registered as unemployed. Practices vary from country to country. In the United Kingdom, the Censuses of Population provide information about the numbers who are seeking work or waiting to take up a job, but the results for 1971 are not yet available.
