§ Mr. AlisonThe capital cost of such a unit, including the ancillary ante-natal services and including fees and equipment, would be nearly £100,000. An estimate for the annual cost would be rather over £15,000. But special provision to establish so small a unit would not be economic and cost estimates on this basis therefore have no real validity.
