§ 43. Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, following the President of Egypt's declared intention of resuming hostilities, he will seek, under the Four Power agreement, to ensure the continuance of the ceasefire.
§ Mr. GodberWe are seriously concerned about the situation in the Middle East. We do not believe, however, that it would be helpful for us to propose at this time a more formal basis for the ceasefire between Israel and Egypt.
The Middle East dispute is the subject of debate at the present time in the General Assembly of the United Nations.
