§ Mr. David Steelasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he will now permit the British Broadcasting Corporation to provide a relay television transmitter in the Borders area.
§ Mr. ChatawayI have approved the technical characteristics of a U.H.F. television relay station at Galashiels. When the broadcasting authorities submit their proposals for further stations to relay broadcasts from the main station at Selkirk, I shall consider them. None of them can start transmitting until the main station is in service.
