Mr. Marks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what rent will be payable on houses notified as unfit under the proposals in Fair Deal for Housing, Command Paper No. 4728.

Controlled tenancies of dwellings formally notified unfit will, under these proposals, remain subject to Part V of the Rent Act, 1968, while tenancies of such dwellings if already regulated will remain subject to Part III.
