HC Deb 05 August 1971 vol 822 c470W
Mr. Alexander Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the new technical college in Hamilton will be in use; how many student places will be provided; what subjects will be taught; and what is the estimated cost of the project.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

Lanarkshire Education Authority hopes that this College, which will provide almost 2,500 places, will be open to students in August 1972. A wide range of engineering, scientific, technical and commercial subjects will be taught up to higher national certificate and diploma level. The estimated cost, excluding movable furniture and equipment, is £1,525,000.
