HC Deb 04 August 1971 vol 822 c329W
Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Prime Minister what representations he has received from the Belfast City Council concerning the Irish Republican Army terrorist campaign, the resulting damage, and the failure of the Army to bring it to a stop; and whether he will receive a deputation from the Council to discuss the matter.

The Prime Minister

I received on 30th July a request from the Belfast City Council that I should meet a deputation to discuss present conditions in the city. The request expressed full appreciation of the efforts of the security forces. I have asked my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary to receive the deputation.
