asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry to what extent the revenue derived from the resources of oil and gas in the North Sea off Scotland will be used for the benefit of the Scottish economy.

Scotland, as part of the United Kingdom will share in all benefits, Exchequer revenues and otherwise, being obtained and to be derived from the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf as a whole.
