§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the British Government's policy towards recent statements by the Secretary General of the United Nations concerning proposals for setting up an International Disaster Relief Co-ordination Office.
§ Mr. KershawWe warmly welcome recent references by the Secretary General to the need for a permanent disaster relief office within the United Nations, and co-sponsored a resolution giving effect to this proposal which was adopted at the recent meeting of the Economic and Social Council.
