§ 44. Mr. Loughlinasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will institute an emergency campaign to deal with the problem of Dutch elm disease.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThere is at present no known cure for the disease, but the Forestry Commission has put in hand a special programme of research and is carrying out a survey of the affected areas. The Commission is also giving further publicity to the control measures260W which it recommended last year, and is considering whether further measures are required.
