§ Mr. PriorIt is not possible to establish precisely the proportion of the increase in food prices which is attributable to the various factors but it is estimated that between one-third and one-half of the increase during the 12 months to June, 1971, was due to higher prices on world markets for many of the232W foods we buy from overseas. The direct and indirect effects of wage inflation in this country accounted for most of the remainder. Only a small part accrued to the home producer.
