§ Mr. Dudley SmithThe number of jobs lost in the Northern Region since 30th June, 1970, is not known, but 6,700 171W redundancies were notified to my Department resulting from closures and re-organisations. I have made no estimate of the numbers of jobs likely to be lost during the next year.
