asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what changes there have been in the number of new council houses built in the London Borough of Islington in each year since 1968.

The combined total of those built by the Islington Council and the Greater London Council in the borough rose from 1,052 in 1968 to 1,161 in 1969 and to 1,855 in 1970.
