§ Mr. HigginsI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Torrington (Mr. Peter Mills) on 6th April. This set out the net effect of the reduction in the standard rate of income tax, higher child allowances, increased social service charges, family income supplement and larger graduated National Insurance contributions on families with up to four children and earnings ranging from £15 to £40 per week.—[Vol. 815, c. 90.]
