JosephI am glad to be able to announce that, subject to completion of the necessary constitutional procedures with regard to the appointment of separate chairmen for these two Councils, Professor W. J. H. Butterfield, Vice-Chancellor of Nottingham University, has agreed that he will be willing in due course to accept the appointment of Chairman of the Council for the Education and Training of Health Visitors. The Council was established by the Health Visiting and Social Work (Training) Act, 1962 and held its inaugural meeting on 25th October, 1962. It is not possible to say yet when it will meet under its new Chairman designate.
