§ 54. Dame Irene Wardasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he is taking to meet the requirement for local information about the need for, and availability of, services under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970, in particular with a view to assisting those who might benefit from its provisions to identify themselves to local authorities.
§ Sir K. JosephI intend to give guidance to authorities about estimating numbers of those in need of services and about local publicity in advance of the coming into operation of Section 1 of the Act on 1st October.
