§ 81. Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what has been the national average wage at October of each year since 1948, and at the same point in time the level of the retirement pension for, respectively, a single person and a married couple, and at each of these dates the percentage of these two pension indices to the current levelling national average wages.
