§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he will not issue instructions to the post offices that until 25th September, 1971, they should overstamp all pension order books by £1.60 and £1.00 for married and single pensioners, respectively, and pay these extra amounts as from 1st April, 1971.
§ Sir K. JosephBecause the operative date for the proposed increases in benefits and contributions is the week commencing 20th September.
