§ Mr. Ramsdenasked the Prime Minister whether he is now able to announce the appointment of the Chairman of the Top Salaries Review Body.
§ The Prime MinisterI am pleased to be able to announce that the right hon. Lord Boyle has agreed to become Chairman of the Body that will advise the Government on the remuneration of Boards of nationalised industries, the judiciary, senior civil servants, and senior officers of the Armed Forces. As my right hon. Friend the Lord President informed the House on 4th December, this Body will also advise the Government on the emoluments, allowances, expenses and pensions of Ministers and Members of the House of Commons.
