§ Mr. Loughlinasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will prevent Gloucestershire County Council acquiring compulsorily, for the benefit of a private developer, land owned by the hon. Member for West Gloucestershire, in view of the fact that the stated purpose of road-widening is not valid, and that the relevant plans are to be amended by the council to further the interests of the developer.
§ Mr. Michael HeseltineMy right hon. Friend has no compulsory order before him in respect of the hon. Member's land and I am informed by the Gloucestershire County Council that it has no such order in mind.
