§ Mr. HigginsData for the United Kingdom are available only at factor cost, while those for some other countries are available only at market prices. The table below therefore includes figures on both bases. There are minor differences between the various countries in the precise coverage of "manufacturing industry" but these are unlikely to have any significant effect on the comparison.
