HC Deb 02 April 1971 vol 814 c453W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will specify for the longest and most convenient period of time since 18th June, 1970, actions that he has taken to reduce the prices of any goods and services which fall within the control of his Department, or for which he has to give Ministerial approval.

Mr. Kershaw

In accordance with the policy announced in the White Paper New Policies for Public Spending—Cmnd. 4515—the scope of charges for which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is responsible, and their alignment with costs where this is appropriate, are being examined.
