HC Deb 02 April 1971 vol 814 cc451-2W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will specify, for the longest and most convenient period of time since 18th June, 1970, actions that he has taken to reduce the prices of any goods and services which fall within the control of his department, or for which he has to give Ministerial approval.

Mr. Peter Walker

In accordance with the intentions announced in Command 4515—"New Policies for Public Spending"—my Department proposes to keep under review the charges made for goods and services and to align them with costs where this is appropriate.
