Mr. Iremongerasked the Prime Minister if he will seek to make an official visit to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to discuss the terms of an agreement between China, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the other Western powers and the developing nations on their respective requirements for oil in the next 25 years and the world resources available.
§ The Prime MinisterI have accepted in principle an invitation from the Soviet Government, but there are no firm plans for such a visit at present. The existing arrangements for international consultation on oil prospects meet our needs.
