HC Deb 30 October 1970 vol 805 c234W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what proposals he has to encourage business, private and club flying and gliding, having regard to the need to assist the British light aircraft industry.

Mr. Noble

The light aviation movement has grown steadily in recent years and the Department keeps in close touch with representative bodies about its needs. We have no proposals in hand to assist the light aircraft industry indirectly through that movement. Direct assistance to the industry is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Aviation Supply.
