§ Mr. Anthony StodartWelfare codes for cattle, pigs, domestic fowls, and turkeys were published in January, 1970. My right hon. Friend and I hope shortly to announce whether we propose to amend the codes in the light of the two recent reports on livestock welfare which were placed in the Library on 29th September. Any proposed changes would be the subject of consultation with the industry.
