HC Deb 30 October 1970 vol 805 cc220-1W
Mr. Freeson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the acreage of his Department's depot in Stonebridge, London, N.W.10, which was formerly part of the Ministry of Public Building and Works.

Mr. Channon

6.5 acres.

Mr. Freeson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether his Department's depot in Stonebridge, London, N.W.10, formerly part of the Ministry of Public Building and Works, is now surplus to Government requirements or is expected to so become in 1970 to 1971.

Mr. Channon

No.

Mr. Freeson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make available the site of his Department's depot at Stonebridge, London, N.W.10, formerly part of the Ministry of Public Building and Works, for purchase by the London Borough of Brent for housing purposes and other community needs.

Mr. Channon

I will certainly bear the hon. Member's suggestion in mind, if there is a change in the Government's requirement for this depot.
