HC Deb 30 October 1970 vol 805 c221W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in view of the concern of many in rural areas whose interests are adversely affected by agricultural development possible under existing planning legislation, he will review such legislation in order to protect the rights of those thus affected.

Mr. Graham Page

The General Development Order, which grants permission for various classes of development, including certain agricultural development, is being reviewed. Preliminary proposals were sent to various bodies some time ago. I am now considering further action.
